Surrounded by wheat fields, tucked into the corner of the village of Maryfield is a unique artist studio. The former Union Hospital, has been J. Childs studios and residence for over 26 years. Jaynè worked for years as a trades-person in finishing interiors and custom graphic applications, was a scene painter for TV and movies, on the west coast and Texas.
Atelier is her largest canvas and with her partner have transformed it over the years. After several public art projects, community murals and portfolios completed. Her love of colour and materials from metal to glass, sculpture has been pursued. Collaborative has been enjoyed, it has always been stimulating and working with muses. Portraits will continue of her favourite Curling Champions.
Childs pursues challenges. With fresh inspirations she is excited to create a new body of work. Now at 70, it’s time to paint what is in her heart. Architectural renderings, historical, contemporary, and whimsical.
Time to create………..
